Screen Printed tote

Summer 2018

I was commissioned by the Stamford Museum and Nature Center to create two designs for a tote bag to be bought and used during their summer farmer’s market. The second design will be screen printed for summer 2019. These are available for purchase at the Stamford Museum and Nature Center!

Graveyard Diorama

Box is 3.5 in. x 3 in.

Box is cardboard painted with Acrylic

Graveyard is clay painted with Acrylic

I often get asked why I enjoy graveyards and ghosts so much, and I usually don’t know quite how to answer. Recently while at the American Visionary Art Museum I discovered an artist whose work revolved around death in a similar way. The artist’s name is Jim Doran and he had a quote next to his work that “it’s also very optimistic and hopeful. Our story doesn’t end when our physical form expires. Love transcends death.” I felt a connection to his work and statement because when I make work that focuses on death it feels more whimsical and optimistic than sad.

Welcome to Dusk Hill

Welcome to Dusk Hill Issue 1

Hand drawn and inked comic.

Victor Pendington has died and woken up as a ghost in the eerie cemetery known as Dusk Hill. This may not have been so bad except he cannot remember who he was or how he died. The only way to pass on from this cemetery is to figure out these very facts. Victor falls into despair at the impossibility of it all, but will find help along the way through phantasmal friendship.

Trash Monsters

The following are select animations from an interactive game called Trash Monsters, made for Sencity. The specific dimensions are due to the company’s unique interactive receptacle. The premise of the game is that feeding the characters trash causes them to grow and eventually combine.
